A friend swore this was the best Japanese curry spot in town so I decided to try. Ordered a curry ramen with chicken tonkotsu. Tonkotsu was crispy and not greasy. Meat was juicy enough. The curry had good flavor. To be fair, this was my first time trying curry ramen. I liked it but not impressive to me so 4 stars instead of 5. Will come back to try curry rice for fair judgement.

this is a clean, modern no-frills spot for katsu and other japanese comfort foods. i came here with a few friends for dinner and it was pretty empty, so we sat immediately. the space is fairly large and super clean. the service was friendly and fast, no complaints there! i had the mild chicken katsu curry udon. the flavor of the curry was perfectly savory and had just a touch of spice. there was an egg on top and a good amount of veggies! the noodles had the perfect bouncy texture that i love in udon, and the portion was quite generous. the katsu was the major standout though, as the breading was light, beautifully browned, and incredibly crispy and the chicken inside was juicy. i love how balanced this meal felt and even had enough for leftovers! the pricing is pretty standard for this kind of food, so taking that into account i would really recommend this place for its quality, ambiance, and service. next time im craving curry or katsu i'll come here !

Used to be 5 stars, still good though. I think they got worse after opening more places such as in Dublin

Omg this place is SOOOOO good. We ordered the curry udon, nikumaki (deep fried pork rolls w cheese), and katsu curry with rice. Everything was fried to perfection. Perfectly crispy!! And the curry sauce was so rich in flavor. I would just say that this food is heavy!! I ko'ed after eating here lol At lunch time, there is a huge line out the door and I can tell why. I would order ahead of time if possible unless u have time to wait. Service is great. Ambience is decent for a casual diner.

probs the best curry in the bay at the first bite I already knew. this place looks pretty unassuming within its interior but they pack an amazing curry. it is concentrated in flavor yet not overwhelming. pairs perfectly with their hot juicy karaage. I elected to add mixed mushrooms to my curry, which I did not regret at all - it just adds more unami to the already rich taste. we also tried the tonkatsu udon which was excellent as well. needless to say, every morsel was eaten

STARS: 4.5 MENU AND FOOD: Demiya cooks up a variety of Japanese curry rice and udon bowls. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service was friendly and quick, but it did start getting crowded after we sat down. Their indoor decor is appropriate and appealing. They have indoor seating only. PARKING: Located in a small strip mall, they have a shared parking lot. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We had their tonkatsu and shrimp katsu rice plates, both of which were delicious! The shrimp had a good texture, but the panko on the tonkatsu kept separating from the pork chop. We both got level 2 spice, which was a very nice medium. We'll definitely be back to try their other katsu or udon bowls, like the soft shell crab!

The tonkatsu curry here is the very best in South Bay (arguably SF Bay Area) in my opinion. During last visit, it was the most busy I'd ever seen the restaurant, and folks had to wait outside for tables to open up even after ordering. Thankfully I was able to secure a table right after ordering. Food comes out after not a noticeably long amount of time, and always fresh and hot. Spice levels 3 is perfect (as a spice lover), and the curry sauce to rice ratio is great. Feel like I want to come back here at least once a month.

The curry here is delicious, and probably my go-to place to get Japanese curry in south bay. I've never had a bad meal here. The tonkatsu is always perfectly cooked and the curry is flavorful and smooth. You order at the counter, find your own seat, and then they call your order when its ready. You get your own water and bus your own table. Something that I don't like is how there are so many add-on charges. If you want to order your food to go, it costs extra. If you want to add the red pickled things, it costs extra. These things usually come free anywhere else, but not here apparently.

Japanese curry that is not only flavorful, but an amazing value for its portions as well! I've been here a few times now.. typically getting a either a tonkatsu or chicken katsu curry with rice.. meanwhile the gf usually enjoys her curry udon. The restaurant was crowded as I would have expected during dinner time, but was still able to find a nice table. Nice open area with plenty of seating as people come in and out after their meal. During this last visit, I decided to change it up a bit and went for the tegone cheese in hamburg.. which is a cheese stuffed hamburger meatball. The menu warns that extra time is needed for its preparation, so it added to the anticipation on how it would turn out. Ordered it with spice level 3 as well as some extra pickles and some croquettes to complete my meal. While the menu I think mentioned a possible 20 min wait, it certainly felt a lot quicker. Food came out and took a few photos before I devoured it. The demiglace on the meatball was delicious and the cheese was nice and oozy. I think i was expecting spice level 3 to be more spicy, but it still had a good amount of heat. Very good curry.. Overall, they are best known for their large katsu pieces and might stick back to that the next time around.

Came here on a weekday evening because I was in the mood for curry. One thing to note is that you have to seat yourself, so if all the tables are occupied then you'll have to wait until one opens. I wasn't sure if i would be able to get a table before my order was ready but a group left a few minutes before my order was ready so it all worked out. In terms of my order, I had the Tonkatsu Curry Rice. It was warm and very delicious. It definitely was a good meal. Overall, I would recommend coming here but be aware that if it's too busy you might not able to get a table by the time your order is ready.
